Family Reunion Part 2 review: Must-watch for genuine LOL moments
If you want a great family show to watch, then Family Reunion Part 2 is the show for you!
Family Reunion has returned to Netflix with Part 2 of the series. I have to say, I laughed so much more on Part 2 than Part 1. The latest season of the comedy has more crazy shenanigans, laugh out loud moments, and real-life situations the black community faces.
Spoilers ahead if you have not watched Family Reunion on Netflix!
Part 1 left viewers wondering if the family was leaving Georgia after a run-in with law enforcement. Well, as soon as Part 2 picks up, the McKellan family is celebrating the firing of the police officer, which means they are staying in Georgia. Each episode tackles different storylines that are common in the black community.
Any scene with the youngest children, Shaka, Mazzi, Ami, and M’Dear, are sure to get a laugh out of anyone. Adjusting to a Southern lifestyle was an adjustment for everyone, especially for Cocoa and Jade. Cocoa and Moz’s lifestyle will take a big turn after their finances are examined, making them wonder if they are equipped to live their big-time lifestyle anymore.

Remember when Jade had multiple encounters with peers at school who didn’t think she was “woke” enough? During episodes of Part 2, Jade encounters new relationships with her siblings, friends, and boys. Jade gets involved with a brand new boyfriend and the biggest mystery for next season is wondering if Jade will come back to Georgia after running off with him during their 15th birthday party.
One of my favorite moments during Part 2 of Family Reunion was seeing Tia Mowry’s real-life son Cree on this show. I don’t want to spoil who he plays, but I will say Cocoa makes a cute reference to him about his appearance. And let’s not forget some of the amazing guest stars, Family Reunion had on the back half from Kenya Moore to the handsome Rome Flynn.
Family Reunion: Part 2 is now playing on Netflix.
