Winn’s long-awaited return to Supergirl has finally arrived! And newly released pictures reveal a new look for the returning favorite.

Jeremy Jordan’s return to Supergirl as Winn Schott was announced long ago, back around SDCC 2019. But details of his return have been kept tightly under wraps to maintain the surprise. Finally, this week we got our first look at Winn’s return in the trailer for the next episode and in a batch of newly released promotional photos.

The last we saw of Winn, he was saying goodbye to his friends and heading to the future. Winn’s genius intellect was needed in the future since Brainiac 5 had to remain in the present time, and so Winn left to help the Legion of Superheroes and become a hero himself.

That’s why the trailer for the next episode, which you can view below, gave fans a shock as it appears that this version of Winn became the villainous Toyman that our Winn fought so hard against becoming. It’s going to be a lot of fun to see Jeremy Jordan tackle this dark turn with the character, since it was a looming theme that was never fully explored with Winn before.

Even better though, is that apparently we don’t only get one version of Winn, we get two! The appearance of the evil Toyman version of Winn seemingly brings our Winn back from the future, and with a new look. He is seen in a supersuit wearing his legion ring and what appears to be…a wedding ring??

Jeremy Jordan also teased the wedding ring on twitter, as well as a few other questions posed by these new photos:

So if Winn is indeed married, place your bets on who he’s married to! Could it be someone we know? (It would be ironic if it was Imra given her previous connection to Mon El). Or will it be someone new? If it is someone new it is likely they will only be mentioned in passing and used to explain why he has to return back to the future and has to stay there.

Not only does Winn look cool, but we can be pretty confident that we’re going to get some emotional scenes between him and the space fam, judging by the pictures. I cannot even begin to describe how much I’ve missed Alex and Winn’s sibling dynamic and seeing them cuddled up together is like being cuddled under a warm fuzzy blanket.

Below take a look at a few of the promotional images for Winn’s big return:

Jordan also teased about the location that the super friends are hanging out at, implying that it could be important. Given the new interview stating that the super friends will be getting a new base of operations, could we perhaps be looking at the first stages of this new Tower?

Jordan is currently only set to reprise the role of Winn Schott for 3 episodes, so drink it in and enjoy it while you can. A little Winn Schott is better than no Winn Schott at all and hopefully however his arc ends will still leave the door open for him to return once more down the line.

At least we’re getting a double dose of Winn for the next episode (or since it’s a two-part episode, we may be getting a double dose of Winn for 2 episodes in a row). To tide you over until the episode airs, you can watch the trailer below.
