Taylor Swift’s Netflix documentary trailer got released to the world today! Have you watched the trailer yet? These are the parts we thought were the best.

The moment all Taylor Swift fans were waiting for finally arrived today, with the release of the trailer for Swift’s new Netflix documentary, Miss Americana. This trailer certainly does not disappoint, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come when the documentary is released on Jan. 31!

After watching the preview and reading her exclusive interview with Variety, it’s fair to say she will not be holding back from her political views and will give us an inside look into her private life. This perspective will be particularly intriguing when you take into consideration Swift’s transformative absence from the spotlight back in 2016.

Taylor rose to stardom when she was just 16-years-old. She worked exceptionally hard to get a record deal, where she combined her talents as a songwriter with her exceptional vocals and would one day burrow a hole into the heart of America’s music scene.

Back then, she didn’t know her masters would get sold to someone else. This means that the music that she spent so long creating and perfecting would belong to the industry titan — Scooter Braun — and not her. The documentary will elaborate on this controversy in-depth and hopefully will give everyone an insight into what Swift’s next steps will be about the situation.

When looking back on her earlier days, she describes what executives in the music industry would tell her. “Nice girls don’t force their opinions on people,” says Swift. This caused her to avoid being her true self and becoming the fearless leader she wanted to be. During her much-needed absence from fame, she realized she needs to be, “On the right side of history,” and share her opinions with the rest of the world.

The trailer hinted at her new song “Only the Young” which was inspired by the 2018 midterm elections. This was the first time Swift shared her political opinion only to realize despite her best efforts that it wasn’t enough. ‘Only the Young’ will feature on Miss Americana on Jan. 31. Not only will fans get an 83-minute long documentary, but also a new hit to go with it.

The Netflix documentary will premiere on Jan. 23 at the Sundance festival and is described as:

"“Raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time during a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice.”"

It’s sure to show everyone the real side of Taylor Swift and not the false narrative the media fostered in bad faith. Oh, and if listening in on her story wasn’t enough to sell you already, this documentary features Swift’s three adorable cats!
