The return from midseason break for Supernatural brought glimpses of what’s to come. Ideas are taken off the table and relationships change. Check out our list of a few best moments from “The Trap.”

Supernatural is coming to an end and we all know it. With so much behind us and geniuses behind the wheel of this story, it’s anyone’s guess what kind of mayhem we’ve got ahead before that day comes.

It may have been a while since the episode but it’s all fresh in our minds. And the show has not been stalling on storylines, either. Every show has some new problem but also gives us a wrap on things that have been dangling.

Thanks to Chuck, Sam gets a glimpse of a Godless future. Dean and Castiel get some time together, and we get a tiny peek at a few things we’ve been wondering about. Let’s have a look at the midseason return for Supernatural in these top five moments from “The Trap.”

5. Come on, Eileen

After Chuck took control of Eileen and forced her to torture Sam’s magical bullet wound, she was pretty traumatized. Clearly, Sam understood she wasn’t in control and he tried to reassure her, but who wouldn’t be confused and upset after having their body controlled. We’ve seen it on Supernatural before.

Although the whole thing technically worked out, Eileen was confused and decided she needed some time on her own. At the bunker, we got a quick moment between Sam and her, when she told him that she was feeling crazy about it and just basically pretty messed up.

Of course, this was upsetting for Sam. It’s been a good long time on Supernatural since we saw him open up to someone or care for a woman. It’s even been a topic of discussion. And as a good hunter should, he understood her state of mind and didn’t try to stop her.

But also in the hunter mind, he knows that you can’t let opportunities pass when it comes to someone you love. Before she left, he kissed her. They were, after all, interrupted earlier from what was certainly about to be a long-awaited, big connection.

She still left, but with that reassurance from him that he knew that kiss was real, maybe it will be something that will draw her back. We can only speculate about where she’ll go or what will happen next for the lowkey couple, but I am super glad that they had that quick moment. I have a feeling it will cement more to come.
