Following the events of the Grey’s Anatomy midseason premiere, all the docs are attempting to return to normalcy, if that’s even a thing at Grey Sloan. As you may recall, Schmitt, Helm, Parker, and Simms were all injured in some way during the crash at Joe’s Bar, but they are now on their way to recovery. Meredith and Webber reunited to console a grieving Bailey, while a heartbroken Maggie was served for the wrongful death of her own cousin. Where do we go from here?
MerLuca developments
For those holding out hope for MerLuca, you might be in luck. The synopsis for “A Hard Pill to Swallow” teases that “Meredith thinks she might miss DeLuca.” And as we see in the promo down below, Mer and Andrew will cross paths as he reminds her once more that he didn’t dump her. I mean, it’s true. They’re technically on a break, and we all know how well those work out.

Meredith’s feelings of missing DeLuca may stem from more interactions with newcomer Cormac Hayes. While Hayes hasn’t outright stated that he’s pursuing Meredith, there’s nothing that proves he’s not trying to win her heart. In fact, he’s going to offer her coffee! Will this episode prove to be appropriately titled because of Mer’s current situation?
Amelia’s bombshell
If you’re wondering how long it will take before Amelia informs Link that he may not be the father of her baby, you won’t be waiting long at all. Amelia will indeed break the news in Episode 11. As one can expect, Link won’t have a great reaction, but we still aren’t sure what he’s going to say in response to this unsettling development. Luckily Amelia is doing the right thing by telling Link, but will she also tell Owen?
Ringless engagement?
Speaking of Owen, he’ll have his own trouble to deal with. Hot off the heels of (finally) proposing to Teddy, Owen is informed that his mother’s engagement ring has gone missing. Teddy loses it at some point, but we don’t know any more details just yet. Expect to see the duo searching for the ring before Koracick decides to swoop in and take advantage of the situation.
Maggie’s lawsuit
Maggie’s storyline will return to the forefront as Richard learns she quit her job at Grey Sloan. Not only that, but I’d imagine he’ll learn of the wrongful death lawsuit at some point too. Maggie was already in a bad place before being served, so we can only imagine what she’s feeling now. Will anyone else come to her aid like Meredith, Amelia, or Jackson?
