The documentary will show us a raw and emotional look at her private life, especially during her absence from the spotlight back in 2016, which made fans worry if she will ever come back to releasing music. Taylor, in the past, received a lot of backlash from the media because she didn’t speak out about her opinions and views.

In the trailer, she looks back on her earlier days and describes what executives in the music industry would tell her. “Nice girls don’t force their opinions on people,” says Swift. This made her not want to be herself and left her feeling like she had to put on an act when in the public eye. She realized she needed to be “on the right side of history” and do something good with the presence she has on many people’s lives.
Not only will fans get something to watch but also a new song called “Only the Young” which was inspired by the 2018 midterm elections. It will feature on Miss Americana and is also available to buy and listen to today!
The documentary will also feature the current drama Taylor has with her old record label, which currently owns her discography except for her album Lover. It will hopefully display the real side of Taylor and give everyone watching a greater understanding of the personal issues she is facing.
