We’ll start with the promo, which shows the team working together to save a chain of humans protecting one boy from falling into the rocks below. You know how that happened. The boy fell, one went to grab him and slipped, and then one after they’ve tried to grab and slipped. Now they’re out of people and the last man (or woman) doesn’t have the strength to pull everyone up.
But that’s not the only call Firehouse 51 will attend. While they may not have anything on the same level as the human chain, they’re going to have some interesting things to do. One of the interesting events is going to be receiving a new truck. I’m curious as to what the chaos will be. Does it have a new tech system that the firefighters aren’t used to?
Brett gets some family news, and there are some photos of Firehouse 51 at a funeral, with Brett at the front next to an elderly man. Has her grandmother passed away? Or is this a family friend or a patient from the past that she considers family? I get the feeling there are going to be some emotional moments during this part of the episode.
And I also hope it doesn’t take long to find out who the old foe is that Boden and Severide are just going to have to get along with.
