It looks like he’s going to face his mother, who has been brought up a few times this season already, so that’s not all too surprising. Marcia Gay Harden guest stars in the episode, as Gary focuses on facing the fears and troubles from his past to figure out why he’s acting the way he is now.

As for the other difficult mother, Regina’s mother is in town. Naturally, Regina wants to share the exciting news about the adoption. Now, most parents would be excited to hear they’re going to become grandparents, whether naturally or through adoption. Of course, things can’t be that easy for Regina considering she’s never had a good relationship with her mother.
Meanwhile, Maggie is facing Eric. She doesn’t know his secret just yet, but she does want to figure out where they are after the kiss. It’s probably not going to end well as Sutton Foster guest stars in a storyline involving him, and it looks like some of the secrets may start to spill.
