Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7 premiered, Katy Keene and Tommy got their series debuts, and much more happened. Here are the Thursday TV ratings.

Thursday, Feb. 6 was a busy night for TV. A number of shows aired premieres, whether season or series, and some big shows continued with new episodes. How do the TV ratings look for the night?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine was one of the shows to premiere a new season with a two-episode special. The ratings were down from the Season 6 premiere, but they were up from the Season 6 finale. While the second episode dropped fairly largely, that’s possibly because fans didn’t realize it would be a two-episode special. However, there’s nothing to worry about as Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 is already confirmed.

There were a few series debuts on Feb. 7. TommyKaty Keene, and Indebted all said hello with mixed results. The CW series Katy Keene was the first to premiere, debuting in Supernatural‘s former timeslot (the show is moving to Mondays in March). It didn’t do all that well, coming in with 0.66 million viewers and a 0.2 demo. This has become relatively standard for CW shows, though.

After all, Legacies lost 28% of its audience and 33% of its demo, pulling in 0.62 million viewers and a 0.2 rating. With Legacies safe, it’s pretty much guaranteed that Katy Keene will be. The show has already had 13 extra scripts ordered, which is a great sign.

Indebted and Tommy also didn’t perform that well. Thursdays have become difficult nights for NBC, especially with the comedy lineup. The new comedy pulled in a low 2.11 million viewers and a 0.4 demo. I’ll be honest and say that I wasn’t all that impressed with the first episode, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a big drop next week. With it being a new series though, NBC will want to see how it stabilizes before making a decision.

Tommy pulled in 4.79 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating. This is slightly up from Evil‘s figures, which could give it some good news. However, it will need to stabilize quickly.

Speaking of new shows stabilizing, after four weeks of losing both audience and demo, Deputy has stabilized this week. It sits in the middle of the 9 p.m. shows, which could be a good sign if this is where it stays.

Before Deputy, new episodes of Last Man Standing and Outmatched aired, with good results. Both shows were up in both metrics, which is good signs for the future. IN fact, Outmatched beat Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which suggests we could see a renewal.

Despite Tommy debuting on the low side, CBS had a stron night. The only show to see a dip was Carol’s Second Act, losing 16% of its demo. This series hasn’t had all that much promotion in recent weeks, which won’t help. Yet The Unicorn‘s promotion continues strong. I do wonder if this is a sign on the decisions being made behind the scenes.

ABC had a mixed night. Station 19 was down, but not by an amount to be too worried about. It sits third in its timeslot in the audience behind the two CBS comedies and second in the demo. I do think the series will be renewed for another season.

A Million Little Things lost a tiny percentage in the audience but was up 16% in the demo, winning the timeslot. I have a feeling this is another show safe for another year.
