Let’s go through the funniest films of Rogen’s career thus far:

Knocked Up (2007)

Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl) is a motivated, successful woman with a career in TV broadcasting, while Ben Stone (Seth Rogen) is an unmotivated loafer living his days enjoying himself and not caring about doing something meaningful.

After these two opposites cross paths at a club, one thing leads to another (a drunken night together), which leads to Alison ending up pregnant soon after. Now, two people with completely different mindsets and ambitions must determine how they can fix their own mess, which includes Ben realizing he needs to wake up and take charge.

What ends up is a hilarious attempt for two individuals with no chemistry to build some and decide whether they can be good parents (for Ben, whether he can show up at all). Instead of going forward, this pair goes backwards and gets to know each other after it’s confirmed they are having a baby together! However, can they handle everything that’s coming with the child? Others starring in this film include Jay Baruchel, Jason Segel, Leslie Mann, Paul Rudd, and Jonah Hill.

Pineapple Express (2008)

Two stoners named Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) and Saul Silver (James Franco) are acting far from laid-back when they become entangled with criminals. After Dale sees a murder done by drug kingpin Ted Jones (Gary Cole) and shady cop Carol Brazier (Rosie Perez), he accidentally leaves some of the drug Pineapple Express in his path while trying to frantically scramble. In return, Dale and Saul are targeted by Jones and are wanted dead.

Now, these two clueless, cashless idlers try to escape to anywhere where Jones cannot track them down, but it leads to hilarious disasters with a bunch of mishaps that may lead them into even more trouble. Also starring in this film is Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Ken Jeong, and Amber Heard.

Observe and Report (2009)

Mall cop Ronnie Barnhardt (Seth Rogen) may be overlooked, an amateur, and disrespected, but he is also motivated and determined in trying to prove himself as a real cop. After incidents of a flasher at Ronnie’s beloved Forest Ridge mall, the aspiring cop decides to take matters into his own hands and bring down the maniac.

However, he must deal with a real detective named Harrison (Ray Liotta) who is equally determined to solve this case while also trying to brush aside an unprofessional like Ronnie. Likewise, Ronnie sees the detective as an obstacle in his path to stardom.

Now, teamed with his best personnel, which are a bunch of misfits including Dennis (Michael Pena), Matt (Matthew Yuan), and John (John Yuan), the goofy mall cop sees this as his big break to prove himself and move up the ranks. Watch as Ronnie tries to save his little town from “danger!” This film also features Anna Faris, Aziz Ansari, and Collette Wolfe.
