With a change to the team had to come some pushback. So far, Owen hasn’t faced too much. Sure, there’s been the odd case of a bigoted woman, but for the most part, he’s received a lot of acceptance and support in the town. That’s not what I expected with the show, but I’m glad to see Austin has wanted to move forward after the tragedy that faced the 126.
Of course, it couldn’t be completely smooth sailing. 9-1-1: Lone Star Episode 6 is going to bring that, when Billy Burke guest stars as someone who is going to light a fire under the team’s rear. Owen knows that Billy (that’s the character name too, according to IMDb) is out for his job, but he’s not going to make it easy to take.
It does sound like Billy is the former captain of the 126. That may cause some loyalty issues for Judd.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of crazy callouts coming. One of those involves a car trapped under a moving truck. How did that car end up there? What are the chances that she went into the back of him but the truck driver just doesn’t know? Considering the truck’s size, it would be easy not to feel the weight of a car going into the back of the trailer.
Mateo has his firefighter exams coming up. Naturally, he’s going to be worried. He’s already failed them three times, so now he needs to pass them and become a fully-fledged firefighter. The team is going to make sure he gets through them this time.
