Feb. 18 saw some good results for the majority of TV shows. CBS’s lineup was all up, including FBI: Most Wanted. Here’s a look at the Tuesday TV ratings.

It was mostly a good night for TV shows on Feb. 18. FBI: Most Wanted ticked up, along with the rest of the CBS line up and most of NBC. However, The Conners and other ABC shows slipped. Here’s a look at the Tuesday TV ratings and what they could mean for the future of the shows.

We’ll start with the bad. The Conners was the first show of the night to slip in both the total audience and the demo. That pattern mostly continued for ABC throughout the night, with only mixed-ish seeing a tick up in the total audience.

The downward movement isn’t all that surprising. ABC got a boost from The Conners‘ live episode last week. I don’t think this is going to be a problem for The Conners or Bless This Mess. mixed-ish and black-ish are two shows I’m concerned about.

For Life slipped after its series debut last week. The slip isn’t all that surprising, but it is concerning. Both the demo and total audience dropped by 18%, and the ratings were already on the low side. It comes in as last in the timeslot. ABC is struggling to find something to perform well in the Tuesday 10 p.m. slot recently.

FOX had a mixed night. While The Resident was steady in the demo, it fell 5% in the total audience. Is this a sign of a bad timeslot or a bad storyline? Anyone else getting fed up of Cain and his arrogance?

However, Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back had a good tick up. While I’m concerned about The Resident, I think 24 Hours may just get another season because it costs less to make.

NBC had a good night. The most noteworthy is Ellen’s Game of Games, which ticked up almost 10% in the demo and 2% in the total audience. This comes off the back of a fourth season renewal earlier in the day.

CBS had the best night of the lot. NCIS matched The Conners‘ top demo rating of 1.1 for the night and also continued to hold the top spot in the total audience. Both metrics were up (although audience on a smaller side). The upward ticks continued throughout the night.

FBI and FBI: Most Wanted both saw 11% upward ticks in the demo and single figure upward ticks in the total audience. I think all three shows are safe. The only thing that could lead to NCIS‘s cancellation is if Mark Harmon leaves or the entire production decides it’s time to bring the show to a close.
