Katy Keene Season 1, Episode 3: Which heart break hurts the most?
By Mads Lennon
Katy Keene’s latest episode delivered a lot of broken hearts and some hope for the future of our favorite characters. Find out the most shocking moments.
For an episode all about Valentine’s Day, Katy Keene‘s third outing leaves a lot of shattered hearts in its wake. Katy and KO call it quits; Pepper pulls off a surprising con, Alexandria does some more scheming, and Jorge ends a year-long relationship. Which heartbreak hurt the most?
3. Jorge is back on the market.
This is one “heartbreak” that isn’t quite so upsetting. Jorge apparently has a bedroom boyfriend, i.e., someone he only ever sees in his apartment but has never been on an actual date with.
Buzz isn’t out at work, which is why they can’t be seen together in public. Jorge tries to move their relationship forward, but Buzz bails, and Jorge realizes he needs to move.
So Ginger makes an appearance at the fire station to impress a certain sexy fireman who, earlier in the episode, helped put out a fire KO accidentally started at the apartment. Ginger gives the new fire-hunk her number, and it looks like Jorge is going to make the best of his singledom.

2. Alexandria remains the worst.
Josie begins working with an incredibly gifted new songwriter named Jimmy. Unfortunately, working with him upsets Alexander — who Josie has been getting hot and heavy with as of late. Things backfire when Josie gives Alex his demo tape. He realizes that Josie was right about him, and that makes him a little uneasy.
Alexandra uses the knowledge to book Jimmy into an exclusive recording contract, so he can’t work with Josie anymore. It seems like it may have been Alexandra’s twisted way of doing her twin brother a favor, but in the process, she wound up hurting Josie. It looks like a Josie x Alexandra showdown is inevitable.
1. Katy and KO are dunzo.
I admit I’m very upset about Katy and KO calling it quits. Even though we don’t know that much about KO, considering the show has only aired three episodes, his endearing Michael Shannon-looks and desire to do whatever it takes to make Katy happy, have made me root for the couple.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like it was meant to be. KO and Katy are in an awkward place when this episode begins as they attempt to figure out how to navigate living together in a very crowded apartment. Katy winds up lying to KO to attend a special event at Gloria’s that will put her in touch with notable designers.
Unfortunately, when KO learns that she lied to him, he realizes that something has fundamentally shifted in their relationship. While KO and Katy still love each other, the things they want are too different, and they decide to break up, for now.
