In a world where there seems to be one too many streaming services, one more is coming up — Quibi! What is this upcoming streamer and how do we sign up?

After Netflix hit massive success, everyone (and we mean everyone) wanted in on the streaming service game. Now that we have Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus, and others, Netflix has proven that it won’t be dethroned that easily. Netflix remains the streaming king, and you won’t ever change my mind about it. Will Quibi present a challenge for Netflix? Here’s what the upcoming service is all about, why we’ll absolutely check it out, but why we won’t be cancelling our Netflix account over it.

What Quibi is all about: Quibi is short for “Quick Bites,” which quickly sums up what the service will offer, short stories and episodes.

When is it available and where: It launches soon! Mark your calendars (pre-order HERE) for April 6, 2020. The biggest difference between Quibi and all other streaming services is that this will only be available on your phone via your mobile device. Think of it like Snapchat or Instagram videos, it’ll be like that, except you’ll have to pay for it.

How much will it cost: Two options are available here, you can either pay $4.99 with short ads (ads in videos that are set to run approximately 10 minutes? How annoying!) or pay $7.99 a month with no ads. $5 is about the same price as Apple TV, but way cheaper than Netflix. But, shouldn’t it be about quality? I’m not saying Quibi won’t have anything fun to watch, I’m sure it will, but not worth ditching Netflix over.

What shows will be included? Quibi is still creating many options for you to watch, and it is signing on BIG names. We have already seen Steven Spielberg, Guillermo del Toro, Sam Raimi, Chrissy Teigen, Jason Blum, Nicole Richie tease their coming project, and so have many others.

Verdict: This one is up to you! Personally, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t curious. I will definitely be checking Quibi out when it launches in the spring. Even if I do enjoy it, though, nothing can replace Netflix. But perhaps Quibi isn’t here to take Netflix or any other service down. Instead, it may be here to enrich our lives with fun and thoughtful quick bites. Either way, I’ll bite.

Will you be subscribing to Quibi?
