So far, no matter how serious the problem of the week has been, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist has ended every episode with Zoey Clarke (Jane Levy) feeling like a big success. But when you meddle in other people’s relationships, no matter how well-meaning, trouble will eventually find you.

In just four episodes, Zoey has: gained the power to hear other people’s private thoughts and feelings through music and dance, found Max (Skylar Astin) a girlfriend, encouraged her boss (Lauren Graham) to see her value outside of her failing marriage, and helped Mo (Alex Newell) to be his true self everywhere—including church. That’s quite a lot for one person to accomplish in a very small amount of time.

But life isn’t always so easy to “fix,” even for someone as smart and special as our heroine. As the title indicates, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Failure” will be the first time everything doesn’t get wrapped up in a nice, little bow.

Life is messy, and so is the fallout from Zoey’s attempts to help. So, what kinds of trouble can you expect Zoey to get into in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 1, Episode 5?

Here’s what we can say so far: Zoey is going to play counselor for yet another marriage. This time, instead of Joan and Charlie (Justin Kirk), David (Andrew Leeds) and Emily (Alice Lee) will be the center of Zoey’s attention.

When she’s not busy trying to help others, Zoey has her own potential romances to think about. She knows she shouldn’t get too close to Simon (John Clarence Stewart) because he’s already engaged to someone else; but as the promo for Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 1, Episode 5 shows, that’s way easier said than done.

Choreographer Mandy Moore has also promised we’ll see “some of [her] favorite dances” in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 1, Episode 5.
