In the new episode of Riverdale, Jughead’s back from the dead, and he and Betty confront the Stonies about their plan to commit the perfect murder.

Jughead’s back on Riverdale, and there’s hell to pay! After he and Betty successfully pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes regarding his death, they are taking on their Stonewall enemies once and for all. With everything said and done, Betty and Jughead confront Bret, Donna, and the Stonies and rip apart their plan to follow through with the perfect murder. Obviously, it wasn’t so perfect because Jughead outsmarted them. But what are they getting out of this situation?

If there are any upsides to the game Betty and Jughead played with the Stonies, they’re hard to understand right now. We’ll have to wait for this next confrontation to fully crack the significance of this storyline, other than the boredom of privileged kids and revenge for a book deal. Let’s hope faking his death, making the town think he’d been murdered, and publicly pinning his best friends for the crime was all worth it in the end and they take down Stonewall’s toxic practices for good.

What do Betty and Jughead have left to say to Bret, Donna, and Professor DuPont? What do the Stonies have to say to Jughead? Will they confess to anything incriminating and back themselves into a corner? Is it show over for Stonewall and its creepy past, present, and future?

How will everyone react to the news that Jughead isn’t dead? Why were so many people on board with it, and what repercussions will Jughead face, if any? Who will get the spot at Yale: Betty or Jughead? What mystery will the series be moving to next? Are those videotapes still in play?
