Lost Girls stars Amy Ryan stars as Mari Gilbert, a mother desperate to find her missing daughter. Law enforcement appears to be doing little to nothing to help after learning her daughter, Shannan, is a sex worker. Gilbert decides to take it upon herself to solve this. In her search, Gilbert finds the bodies of several other women, none of them Shannan, but police finally listen.

Knowing she’ll likely never see her daughter alive again, Gilbert refuses to give up until she solves what happened to Shannan. At Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has a score of 64% fresh, with critics commenting how “hard-hitting” and “emotional” the movie is.
