These The Walking Dead spoilers are getting out of hand and fans are not happy. Is there any way to avoid them?

The Walking Dead spoilers surface online each week. At this point, TWD spoilers are inevitable and fans are used to them. Fans are aware that, to avoid bumping into spoilers for upcoming episodes, going on social media is a no-no, at least a day or two before a new episode. However, things are getting out of hand.

Spoilers are particularly upsetting when a major event or death is spoiled. The experience of watching the episode is ruined. If you ask me, I put the blame on AMC Premiere. Before this special streaming service, fans only had to be on the lookout for TWD insiders who had details or access to spoilers. What was going to happen in upcoming episodes wasn’t easy to find. In fact, you had to search for spoilers yourself.

Now, thanks to AMC Premiere, by allowing subscribers up to a 48-hour early access to episodes, they are ruining the experience of everyone else. Spoilers are everywhere, whether you are searching of not. Now, don’t get me wrong, being able to watch episodes early by at least one day is amazing…for members! Everyone else? Not so much.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the The Walking Dead Season 10, Episode 12.

The death of a major character, Alpha, was spoiled long before the episode even aired for most fans. And not just in print! Gifs and images made their way online, as well. The experience of being shocked by it all was ruined for many. Thankfully, the events weren’t ruined for me as I have early access as well, but as a fan, I wish everyone enjoyed the experience of going into it blind as I did.

How can you avoid spoilers? It appears that, in order to remain spoiler-free, we need to avoid social media altogether at least two days before a new episode. It’s not an easy task, but there’s really not much any of us can do. If you have AMC Premiere, that’s great! Please remember to be mindful of other fans and keep spoilers to yourself.
