Maggie and Teddy attend a conference where they encounter people from their past. Here’s what to expect and how to watch Grey’s Anatomy Season 16, Episode 19 live.

In more recent seasons of Grey’s Anatomy, the writers have found ways to incorporate “standalone” episodes into their lineup here and there. Such will be the case with Season 16, Episode 19, which will focus on four characters in particular. While we wait to see what’s next for Meredith and DeLuca after Episode 18’s intense encounters, here’s what we know about “Love of My Life.”

Richard is distracted

A few of Grey Sloan’s finest surgeons will attend the Surgical Innovation Conference in Los Angeles during this hour. Richard Webber will present his PATH pen that he’s been working on over the last few seasons.

It doesn’t sound like things will go as well as they should because Richard will be distracted by his issues with Catherine. While we don’t know if she’s physically at the conference, we know that Richard has been dealing with a lot mentally and physically.

Teddy and Maggie reunite with old friends

Elsewhere at the conference, Teddy and Maggie will get wrapped up in meeting people from their past. For Teddy, she’ll encounter an old friend portrayed by Locke & Key‘s Sherri Saum. As for Maggie, she’ll cross paths with a former coworker named Winston (Anthony Hill).

Maggie and Winston’s reunion looks to be more than just a friendly conversation. In watching the promo for “Love of My Life,” we have to wonder if Maggie is finding her happily ever after. Expect more Maggie backstory and some steamy action to go along with it.

Cormac Hayes gets a spotlight

While it remains to be seen if Cormac Hayes is also attending the same conference, his character will also receive a spotlight in this hour. The official synopsis states that he’ll “relive moments from when he met his late wife.”

Learning about new characters is always fun, especially in a long-running show such as Grey’s Anatomy. Hopefully, this storyline provides more insight into his life as fans figure out if they want Meredith to pursue a relationship with him.
