2. New Girl

Of all the TV shows on the list, this one doesn’t focus as much on the friendship between the two ladies. Rather, it follows a group of friends. With that being said, all of the friendships and relationships are so great. If you are looking for moments just featuring the two ladies, there are plenty of examples in New Girl. Airing from 2011 to 2018, the series was a darling on Fox albeit with somewhat of a frustrating ending.

New Girl follows Jessica Day who gets broken up with and decides to move into a loft with three guys since the rent is fairly cheap. Along the way, we watch their bonds go from friendship to family and then, some a bit romance. Jess is frequently seen with her best friend Cece who she’s known since middle school. While a majority of the series is about Jess and her life with Winston/Coach, Schmidt and Nick, the series gives Jess and Cece’s friendship a fair amount of attention.

New Girl shows a completely different friendship dynamic with Cece being the beautiful popular girl while Jess is more awkward and quirky. Somehow, the two are able to bond despite those differences. It’s nice to see such a unique type of friendship displayed and see how the two were able to overcome almost everything together. Their friendship might not be at the forefront, but Jess and Cece are still awesome. With all seven seasons currently on Netflix, this should be your next watch after Tiger King.
