When will Saturday Night Live return with new episodes?

Another Saturday of missing out on SNL laughs! When will Saturday Night Live return with new episodes in 2020?
Before John Krasinski could even make his SNL debut, the sketch series took a break. It’s not unusual for Saturday Night Live to take a couple of weeks off randomly. To be honest, it’s tough keeping up with the show’s scheduled. But with thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak, Saturday Night Live was forced to stop production, and now we have two big questions: When will SNL return in 2020? And when it does, will Krasinski be the first to host?
For everyone’s safety, social-distancing and other rules will be in place through the month of April, most going into May. Though these rules are different in each state, New York is one of the most infected states. This means that things won’t be going back to normal by May. That is way too soon, maybe not even June.
When it was first announced that SNL would not return until further notice, we all believed we’d see it late April or early May, but not the way things have been going! Best case scenario for SNL’s return is July.
As for John Krasinski making his debut as host of Saturday Night Live, we hope so! With his film A Quiet Place II being pushed back, it would make sense for Krasinski to host around that time.
