Jen and Judy are back in action! But who killed Steve? Here’s what we know about the Dead to Me Season 2 premiere date and trailer.

Dead to Me premiered on Netflix in May 2019 with Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini forming a love-hate friendship as the tumultuous Jen and Judy. The dark comedy impressed viewers all over the world as it was one of the easiest shows to binge-watch.

Season 1 ended with a major cliffhanger, prompting fans to believe a Season 2 was all but guaranteed. Sure enough, Netflix made the right call and renewed the series. We now know that Dead to Me Season 2 will premiere on Friday, May 8, 2020!

More from Netflix

The release date announcement was coupled with a new teaser to hold fans over in the month the remains before new episodes drop. The minute-long clip takes us back to the closing moments of the nerve-wracking Season 1 finale.

If you need a refresher, the finale brought everything to a head when Jen finally learned that Judy and Steve were in the car that killed her husband. The cliffhanger came in to play when Judy found Steve floating in Jen’s pool. Of course, Jen had a gun in her hand, but we still aren’t for sure that she’s the one who pulled the trigger.

The teaser also shows more shenanigans ahead for the twisted duo. Church dance numbers, a police chase, Jen sporting a gas mask. We also catch a glimpse of them having an intense conversation at Cindy’s Restaurant. Jen thinks they are in Scarface despite neither of them having seen the film.

We can only hope that Season 2 will answer “whodunnit” while exploring the ironic friendship of two women who quite possibly killed each other’s partners. I can’t wait to see what the genius writers, cast, and crew have in store following a spectacular first season.
