With Big Brother Canada 8 now over, we decided to look back at the season. We will be going down the list of every Big Brother Canada 8 and detailing their worst moves. Here are Rianne Swanson’s worst moves.
Rianne entered the Big Brother Canada 8 house on Day 1 and got off to a solid start before they went south. A twist saw Canada vote to keep their favorites safe from eviction in week 1. There would be no Head of Household. Instead, the four people with the fewest votes were in jeopardy of leaving and would have three chances to save themselves: a physical competition, a mental competition, and through their social game. Rianne was one of the people Canada voted to keep safe.
In week 2, Chris won HOH and was aiming to make a big move and backdoor someone. The Evictors alliance made themselves obvious, aiding Chris in his decision. Then, he caught Madeline Di Nunzio and Micheal Stubley flirting and targeted Micheal out of jealousy.
He nominated Brooke Warnock and Hira Deol as his pawns. Hira won the POV to save himself and Chris’ named Micheal the replacement nominee. The Evictors lashed out at Chris for what they perceived as a betrayal. Micheal was evicted in a 9-3 vote.
In week 3, Sheldon Jean won HOH and thought about targeting Rianne before shifting his target to Minh-Ly. He nominated Madeline and Rianne for eviction that week. In a twist, each player selected to compete in the POV that week was able to pick a partner to compete with them. The player selected by random draw would win the POV while the person picked by the player chosen by random draw would win immunity.
Rianne picked Hira to be her partner and the duo finished second in the competition to Madeline and John Luke. This earned Madeline the POV and John Luke immunity. Needing a replacement nominee, Sheldon nominated Minh-Ly Nguyen Cao.
Wanting to get down to the bottom of who was spreading lies about her, Minh-Ly confronted Vanessa Clements. However, she got nowhere with Vanessa. So, she called a house meeting to settle the issue. During the house meeting, Jamar Lee’s actions crossed the line, making Kyle and Vanessa feel uncomfortable. As a result, Jamar was expelled from the Big Brother Canada house. Two days later, Kyle was also expelled for what production deemed “a pattern of problematic behavior.” Due to the expulsions, production hit the reset button on the game, making Sheldon eligible to compete for HOH and voiding the nominations.
In week 4, Sheldon won HOH after Chris made a deal to give it to Sheldon. Carol Rosher informed Sheldon she wanted to be evicted on Thursday. However, not everyone was on board with her wishes.
Thanks to Carol’s desires to be sent packing, Rianne was able to stay off the block in week 4. She was also not picked to play in the POV competition that week. On March 23rd, houseguests were given the devastating news from executive producer/showrunner Erin Brock that, due to local measures taken to curb the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Big Brother Canada 8 was coming to an early end. They would have one last day in the house and their travel was being arranged home for them. Rianne left the house along with her allies Madeline and John Luke at 2:13 pm on March 24.
Rianne Swanson’s worst moves of Big Brother Canada 8
Rianne’s worst move was aligning herself with The Evictors alliance. Given how obvious they made themselves, they were huge targets. After Micheal left, Rianne was likely the biggest target amongst the group given players were having trouble reading her.
