In the musical episode of Riverdale, Kevin rallies against Mr. Honey to put on a production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch while a new couple gets closer.

After a month-long hiatus, Riverdale returns with its latest musical episode, and this one might just prove to be the most dazzling spectacle the show has ever put on. Looking to avoid the situations of the past with the Carrie and Heathers musicals, Kevin decides to revive the school’s variety show tradition. However, Mr. Honey censors Kevin from performing a musical number from Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Naturally, Kevin and his friends take a stand against Mr. Honey and turn the variety show into an entire Hedwig musical spectacular.

In true Riverdale musical episode fashion, the school’s latest production mirrors the various dramas and struggles of the gang’s personal lives. But there must be a performance that provides some insight to a newly blossoming relationship between a forbidden duo.

Maybe the showmance isn’t as obvious as we’d like to believe, but all signs lately have been pointing to Archie and Betty rekindling what little flame they had burning early in the series. Sure, they pretended to have a fling to throw off the Stonies, but underneath the surface, real feelings are definitely brewing.

What does Kevin have planned for the variety show? Why does Mr. Honey forbid Kevin to perform a musical number from Hedwig and the Angry Inch? Is the gang able to successfully overthrown Mr. Honey and perform an all-out Hedwig musical in place of the planned variety show?

Who’s the couple at the center of this “forbidden” showmance? Does Kevin get closer to someone while donning the Hedwig look, or is it the beginning of the Barchie ship setting sail? How would Archie and Betty getting together completely change the dynamic of their friendships and the series?

Wondering what we can expect from the latest episode of Riverdale? Here’s a look at the official synopsis of “Wicked Little Town” via The CW:

"After the previous debacles of “Carrie: The Musical” and “Heathers: The Musical,” Kevin (Casey Cott) decides to revive Riverdale High’s tradition of hosting a variety show. But when Mr. Honey (guest star Kerr Smith) forbids him from performing a number from “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” Kevin and the gang rally against their principal – each by performing a number from “Hedwig,” turning the variety show into a full-fledged musical that reflects the students’ inner lives and struggles. And amidst all the drama, one forbidden “showmance” begins to blossom."
