2. Limetown

Original Release Date: October 16 – November 13, 2019

Ratings: It isn’t entirely clear what the ratings for Limetown were as it was a Facebook Watch series and the streaming service doesn’t reveal their exact numbers. However, it likely underperformed as Facebook canceled it after one season and has decided to move away from their scripted content.

Critical Acclaim: Limetown performed pretty well with critics, while not quite as good as The Sinner, Biel still received praise for her performance as Lia Haddock.

About the Role: If you have ever listened to the Limetown podcast then you already knew what to expect going into the show. It follows pretty closely along to the podcast.

Biel plays Lia, a journalist for American Public Radio who investigates the mysterious disappearance of more than 300 people at a research facility called Limetown.

Simply the Best: Limetown is a great show for anyone likes mysteries and psychological thrillers. The disturbing truth of Limetown will definitely sit with you for a while and Biel does a phenomenal job with her role.

The series does end on a mild cliffhanger, but it is still worth watching to learn the truth about Limetown and see Biel’s performance. It’s also cool because Lia is a character from the LGBTQ+ community.
