H.E.R. had to pick a song on Songland Season 2, Episode 3. It wasn’t an easy choice, but which one did she make in the end?
Sometimes, it’s not easy to guess which song will be picked on Songland. That was certainly the case with Season 2, Episode 3. H.E.R. had some excellent material to choose, but which one would speak the most to her?
We saw some great raw material, but it was all about which music would be best H.E.R.’s style. At the same time, she needed something that would have meaningful lyrics. One of the reasons music means so much is because of the story the lyrics tell; the way that story touches our souls.

In the end, H.E.R. opted for the song called “Wrong Places.” Raquel Castro wrote the original song, and it was developed with the help of the judges and H.E.R. to create the best sound. You could tell just from the first time everyone heard the song there was something magical there. Is it that surprising this was the song picked?
The song went through some big changes throughout the episode. What started off as a beautiful acoustic track was developed into a winner. Once you hear H.E.R. perform the song, it’s no wonder she opted for the track.
It certainly a beautiful track. It works both acoustically and as an RnB track. This is one of those songs that is sure to leave you with a calm feeling, even in H.E.R.’s own style.
