Never Have I Ever has gained immense popularity on Netflix after its release. Let’s consider several questions for a potential Season 2.
Teen sitcom Never Have I Ever premiered this past week on Netflix and has gained much popularity and praise since its release. The show finished as high as the two spot on the U.S. Top 10 category (that’s the highest I personally saw it). Have you watched it?
Following the life of high school sophomore Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), the first season took viewers on a journey through sometimes turbulent times in the life of an Indian-American character.
There were laughs, parties, fights, enemies, romances, secrets, and more. Devi must navigate adolescence with her friends Eleanor (Ramona Young) and Fabiola (Lee Rodriguez), deal with her mother Nalini’s (Poorna Jagannathan) rules, along with adjusting to her cousin Kamala (Richa Moorjani) living with her.
This series was created by actress Mindy Kaling and brings light to Indian-Americans on-screen, which is a great plus for Hollywood diversity. The first season consisted of 10 episodes, and many may already be asking the question, will there be a second season?
Since the series just released, it is only natural that no final decision has been made on Season 2. Nevertheless, the show’s success should hopefully set it up for another season filled with Devi’s adventures.
