When does sMothered Season 2 premiere on TLC?
If you think you are close to your mother, it’s time to reevaluate. The hit show sMothered is returning to TLC to challenge everything about parenting.
If you remember Season 1 of sMothered, it was a massive train-wreck. The relationships between mothers and daughters were disturbing, like that cross-eyed kid from Game of Thrones who breastfed until he was 10-years old.
There isn’t long to wait for sMothered Season 2, premiering on Sunday, May 24 on TLC. Since Season 2 is on the horizon, it’s time to introduce the future psychiatric patients.
Introducing the mother and daughter pairs
The returning pairs
Sunhe & Angelica return to destroy the relationship between Angelica and Jason by wrecking the current marriage between Jason and his wife. Yes, a person who is nearly surgically attached to her mother is dating a married man, and Sunhe is a perpetual third-wheel intent on throwing pot-holes in an already winding road.
Dawn & Cher & Jared (i.e. Chered) are the threesome who went to an OB/GYN appointment together in the first season of sMothered. Now there is a third female, Cher’s daughter Belle Mae, who is dressed the same as her mother and overbearing grandmother. Jared still tags along like a broken P.O.W., even though he is a doctor and was ignored regarding the pregnancy.

Living only five houses apart, Kathy and Cristina are inseparable, unbearable, and laughably stereotypical. Kathy’s resemblance to either a retired wrestler or the drummer from Ratt, her 13-layer eyeliner, her leopard-print clothing, and the fact she drives her Cadillac the five houses to her daughter’s house is just about all you need to know about their situation. Oh, and they all will be living together while Cristina’s house gets remodeled. Good times.
The newbies
Mary has been taking showers with her daughter Brittani since Brittani was five. That’s not even the weirdest thing. They also get co-colonic therapy together. As a shock to absolutely nobody, the men near this situation take issue with the nearly incestuous relationship. Mostly because it sounds like the beginning of a Penthouse story, but doesn’t have the same type of climax.
Can it get more bizarre than Mary and Brittani? Sure. It’s normal to save maybe a baby tooth, or all baby teeth when your child loses them. Smelling them orgasmically, however, is another thing entirely. Well, welcome to Laurie’s world, because apparently she thinks her daughter Sarah’s teeth smell better than honeysuckle. Oh, she also intrudes on Sarah’s dates, killing the mood entirely.
The best is saved for last. Alena is described as “bubbly” and having an “enzyme deficiency.” What the viewer is going to see, however, is “creepy” and “dwarf who exchanges dog facial kisses and licks with her mother.”
