While we’re glad there’s an all-new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight for fans to enjoy, we’re sad about this being the Season 45 finale. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this season of SNL had to be cut short. The cast and crew did an amazing job giving us three remote episodes, and we really appreciate it!

Had Saturday Night Live not dished out three episodes from home, the season may have been cut even shorter! Thankfully, the cast and crew were able to film from home and put it together to give us three amazing (and surprisingly fun) SNL At Home episodes! What did you think about them?

Initially, we weren’t sure what to expect from an episode such as this one being filmed from home, but they turned out great! Tonight’s SNL AT Home Season 45, Episode 18 will serve as the season finale. Yes, this means there won’t be a new episode for a while. How long is the wait? About four months!

Looking back at previous premiere and finale dates, it looks like Saturday Night Live wraps up a season in the summer (it has been May for several years) and returns in the fall of that same year. This means we can expect to see Season 46 back (and actually live) sometime in September.

By then, we are all hoping things are back to normal! We would love to see the episode live, with musical guests, and talented hosts! Fingers crossed.
