It’s safe to say that things just went from bad to worse for Ruby and Billy. What started out as a fun, adrenaline-fueled trip with an ex-lover has turned into a train ride from hell thanks to the addition of Fiona in HBO’s Run.

In the fourth episode of HBO’s Run, after spending the night together, Ruby and Billy continue their trip on the train, but this time, Fiona follows them. After the duo sleeps for a few hours, Ruby wakes up to 32 missed calls from Laurence. When she finally talks to her husband, Ruby finds out her son, Scooter, broke his arm, and prefers to hang out with their new au pair much to Ruby’s dismay.

Both Billy and Ruby run into Fiona on the train. Fiona, who’s Billy’s former business partner, orders him to pay her after revealing a video recording of Billy explaining his plans to turn his “RUN” adventure into a book. When Billy refuses, Fiona takes matters into her own hands and confronts Ruby.

At first, Ruby still believes that “Alice” is her friend, but she soon learns that she’s really Fiona and after Billy’s money. After threatening to release an audio recording of Ruby having sex with Billy, Ruby caves and gives Fiona the money. The episode ends with Fiona jumping off the train with the money as a shocked Ruby and Billy look on.

Although Ruby and Billy have excellent chemistry together and make for compelling characters, I wouldn’t call them likable. At times, it’s hard to root for both of them. Ruby left her family, and yet she still wants Scooter and Laurence to miss her despite having an affair. Billy is a liar that may exploit his relationship with Ruby for a book deal. Even Fiona has done questionable things like when she deleted Ruby’s “RUN” text to Billy that Ruby sent five years ago on her wedding day.

The fifth episode of HBO’s Run is titled, “Jump,” so expect Ruby and Billy to jump off the train to chaser after Fiona and the money. However, the moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. In the final seconds of the promo, a familiar face graces our screens. That face is Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The Emmy Award-winning genius is set to join the cast as Laurel, a local taxidermist. I can’t wait to see what Waller-Bridge brings to the show.
