5 big questions after The 100 Season 7, Episode 2

The 100 Season 7, Episode 2 gave us a strong episode on the other side of the anomaly

One question we’ve had since it was introduced was where would the anomaly lead? We finally found out on The 100 Season 7, Episode 2. However, it left us with more questions than answers.

The episode was purely focused on the other side of the anomaly. Planet Beta, Gabriel called it, but there are clearly more planets around. The anomaly is a bridge between worlds. Gabriel, Echo, and Hope need to figure out how to use that bridge to save their family and friends.

These are my big questions for The 100 after “The Garden.”

5. Where were Octavia and Diyoza taken?

We got some flashes of when Octavia followed Diyoza through the anomaly. Time moves faster and Octavia had spent six years trying to get back to Bellamy. In the end, she chose to make a life with Diyoza and Hope. However, it wouldn’t last. The soldiers turned up and took Octavia and Diyoza away.

Where were the two taken? We later saw Octavia return, only to be taken back. So, what’s going on with all these worlds? Is that where Bellamy now is? So many questions!

4. What happened to Young Hope for 10 years?

Hope was just 10 when she was separated from her mother and Auntie O. However, it’s clear that she wasn’t alone for too long. She said that someone else trained her as a warrior. She also said that she had to go through the anomaly to tag Octavia to get Octavia back.

So, what did Hope go through for the 10 years that she wasn’t with Diyoza and Octavia? What has she had to face alone? What did she do to survive? It would certainly explain her attitude right now.

3. How does time move on the other planet?

We know that the time on Beta moves faster than the time on Alpha. But there’s a third planet. How fast does the time move on that planet? This could be important for when Hope is likely reunited with Diyoza and Octavia.

It wouldn’t make sense for time to move too quickly on the other planet considering Beta was a prison. Could it actually move at the same speed as Alpha?

2. Will Hope start to properly open up?

Hope is trying to keep her wall up, but it’s difficult. Finding O’s letter to Bellamy led to Hope breaking down. She even hugged Echo as tightly as possible, clearly showing that she’s going to start letting down some of her defenses.

If Gabriel, Echo, and Hope are likely to remain on Beta for five years, Hope is going to have to start talking soon. How long will it take?

1. Will Gabriel remember the code?

I’ve got to question Gabriel’s decision to leave the mind drive reader in the cabin as he ran around looking for a pencil. That thing wouldn’t have left my sight at all. But he left it and now it’s been broken.

Does that mean the code is lost forever? Is there another way to get the code? Will Gabriel use the tools that his friend did to figure things out? I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but all is not lost just yet.
