This weekend is the last one for the month of May, but it is going out with a bang! As exciting as April’s Extraction and the drama in Too Hot to Handle was, Netflix subscribers have been anticipating the arrival of Steve Carell’s Space Force.
What else is headed to the streaming giant this weekend (May 29-31)? Unfortunately, not too much! Below, we list some content that recently debuted and you likely missed, along with new shows streaming this weekend. There’s plenty to watch and even more to add to your to-watch list. Have a look!
Which Netflix shows and movies to watch this weekend
Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich: This film premiered before the weekend on May 27, but many have been waiting until later to watch it. If you followed the case of the mysterious tycoon Jeffrey Epstein closely, you won’t want to miss this movie. Filthy Rich follows Epstein from his humble beginnings to his arrest and death.
More from Netflix
- Bridgerton season 3: All the details to know about Penelope and Colin’s love story
- It’s a slow week on Netflix with only three new releases (Nov. 20)
- Exploding Kittens: From card game to Netflix animated series starring Tom Ellis
- The Crown and more Netflix shows and movies to stream this week (November 13)
- Escaping Twin Flames and more harrowing love-centered documentaries to watch on Netflix
Intuition: Another film not to miss this weekend, released May 28, is Intuition. The movie follows Manuela Pelari (Luisana Lopilato), a police detective new to the job. She’s working with mentor Francisco Juanez (Joaquin Furriel), and together they try to solve the murder of a 19-year-old girl. But this isn’t an easy mission, and it has more twists and turns than the duo imagined.
Space Force: This is the series I have been waiting for all year (well, right along with Dead to Me Season 2 and Lucifer Season 5)! Space Force follows Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell), a decorated pilot who dreams of running the Air Force. Instead, he is offered to lead a newly formed branch, Space Force. Stream it on May 29.
Somebody Feed Phil: This series is for all my foodie friends out there! If you love all things food (and laughs), watch Phil Rosenthal in Somebody Feed Phil as Phil takes on culinary adventures in Marrakesh, Chicago, London, Seoul, and Montreal.
Blood & Water: In a prestigious school for elite scholars, there are secrets surfacing! Mainly, a girl transfers to the school with the mission to investigate a cold case involving the sister she never met.
