A list of 5 good TV shows to check out from June 1 to 5, 2020

If you’re looking for new TV shows to watch this weekend, we have you covered. We’re saying goodbye to a couple of popular shows, hello to a new season of a cable show, and there is a new episode of a heartfelt dramedy you should be watching.

Here are our top five picks for the week. We try to cover the whole week so you’ve got something from start to finish. Don’t forget there’s the weekend’s picks to tide you over until the first pick on this list.

Fuller House: The Farewell Season

We start with the goodbye to one of the most popular original comedies on Netflix. Fuller House Season 5B is dropping on June 2. It’s been dubbed “The Farewell Season” by Netflix, as it will see the characters move onto the next stages of their lives (again). One good thing is that Netflix gave the show a warning so storylines could be fully wrapped up.

Dirty John Season 2 premiere

More from Entertainment

As we say goodbye to one show, we say hello to another. Dirty John Season 2 premieres on USA this week. It’s not going to follow the story from the first season. Instead, this show has been set up as an anthology series, and this season is about Betty Broderick. The show starts with Betty thinking her rich husband would have no grounds to divorce her, but that may not be the case.

Dirty John Season 2 premieres on June 2 at 9/8c. It’s a two-hour special.

Council of Dads continues

If you haven’t checked out Council of Dads just yet, you need to right away. The previous five episodes are currently on Hulu, so you can spend this week catching up. It’s one of the best new TV shows of the midseason, bringing heartfelt moments, comedy, and much more.

Episode 6 airs on Thursday, June 4 at 8/7c on NBC. Charlotte needs emergency surgery, so the Perry family and the Council come together to help make sure things go smoothly.

Hannibal Seasons 1 to 3

Turn to Netflix at the end of the week. All three seasons of Hannibal will be available to stream. If you haven’t watched it yet, now is your chance to see what you missed out on. You won’t regret binge-watching but you will wish there was a fourth season. It’s set pre-Silence of the Lambs, with a younger Dr. Hannibal Lecter as a forensic psychiatrist. Little does everyone know but he’s a cannibal too.

All three seasons of Hannibal will be on Netflix on June 5.

13 Reasons Why season 4

Finally, it’s time to say goodbye to another show. 13 Reasons Why will wrap up the tale for the Liberty High students. The big question is whether it will be a happy or sad goodbye. Will Clay and the group spiral out of control? Will the secrets about who killed Bryce come out? That’s something to find out.

All 10 episodes of 13 Reasons Why season 4 are on Netflix on June 5.
