The emotional aspect of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days is very difficult to read. Some of the people on the show are obviously in it for some sort of stardom or screen-time (Darcey), and others were completely catfished via ignorance (Yolanda). There are still others who seem like immigration relationships (choose one).

The wedding location looks a lot like an AMVETS bingo hall. He’s in blue, silk pajamas and she has on a wedding dress that not only reveals her trashy tribal tattoo, but also immediately makes him comment on her sagging breasts.
Usman’s mother is disgusted, like her son is being sold instead of married. Faruq can’t even look. And Muhammed straight up says he’s not happy. It’s reeeal festive.
They get through a thankfully short ceremony, and Lisa’s laugh sounds like a diesel engine backfiring. The reception follows – Mommy & Muhammed miss it because they’re “not feeling well” – and it’s all fun. He even sings to her; it’s a song you may know.
What in the world is going on in Ukraine?
Oh, David. Clueless David. He STILL doesn’t have any way to contact her other than the website. He finally wises up and buys her a phone! She accepts, but it’s very reluctant and accompanies a huge sigh.
He is still wearing the ridiculous floor-length leather jacket. Could that be the reason why she says she needs more time for an emotional connection? Is that why he’s been in Ukraine for eight days and has only seen her two of those days? She must be busy on one of the other 13 dating websites.

On David’s last day, he wears a modified ushanka, his trench coat, and mopes around town because Lana is

babysitting, for 24-hours straight. She couldn’t even have dinner or a nightcap.
I have no doubt she’s doing everything for the cameras, to save face, and potentially milk David for more money/gifts/eventual visa. Unsurprisingly, she doesn’t answer the phone the only time he calls.
Then something crazy happens. They go to the airport, David initiates a kiss, she reciprocates, and it’s done. Back to scamming him. He walks a few steps away, pauses, turns back like a cheesy ’80s movie, and proposes to her with that shiny cubic z he bought. She gushes and accepts. Wat?

Geoffrey & Varya were last seen at a bar when Mary barged in. Varya promptly told her to GTFO. Moments later, we see our happy couple in bed together the next morning, smiling, knowing they are destined for one another.
The kids are introduced, and they immediately like Varya. How could you not? Everyone’s full of smiles. On her last day before returning to Russia, Varya is taken to a wishing bridge. She writes her note in very illegible Russian, but we all know it says something like “Geoffrey proposal.” In order to get her wish, she has to close her eyes, think of the wish, and ring a bell.
When she opens her eyes, David is on a knee behind her. Baller move. She obviously says yes.
