Snowpiercer on TNT is underrated, here’s why you need to give it a chance

For many, Snowpiercer on TNT has been a pleasant surprise, but not everyone agrees. Some reviews we’ve been bumping into online rather harsh, and we blame impatience. Having already watched the first season of the TNT series, we believe there are several reasons why you need to go easier on it.

It’s always best not to judge a series by its pilot episodes. The first episode sets up the story and introduce the main players, but aren’t as exciting as the rest of the season. This is why it’s important to keep watching a few more episodes after.

This couldn’t be more true for Snowpiercer. Personally, I enjoyed the pilot episode, but I do understand the confusion and questions many had.

I was able to screen the first season before the premiere, though. So, knowing what’s ahead, I can promise it’s a fun ride.

Snowpiercer on TNT: Cast diversity and stories

It’s important to see diversity on our screens now more than ever. I love the diverse cast and feel it’s crucial for audiences, particularly children, to see faces of all colors on television. The diversity doesn’t interfere with the story, either, as I feel it’s more realistic to feature all colors instead of only white, and it’s not only done for the sake of splashing color on the screen.

Daveed Diggs portrays the lead Layton, and he’s instantly charming and easy to root for. His story is the main plot of the series, but there are plenty more characters dealing with their own issues. Let’s support diversity by giving more shows like this a chance.

Snowpiercer on TNT: An upcoming twist

For those calling Snowpiercer a copy of the movie (which you can watch on Netflix). Others are confused by what the point of it all is. I promise there’s a fun twist ahead. In the meantime, enjoy the ride and let Snowpiercer take your hand and guide you through the story.
