When does Mr. Iglesias Season 2 return?

The release of Mr. Iglesias Season 2 is right around the corner

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias starred on his own Netflix show called Mr. Iglesias, which premiered on June 21st of last year. The first season, filled with 10 episodes, was fresh, light-hearted, and comical. This sets up Season 2 for an exciting time!

You know when a comedian like Iglesias is on the show, there were bound to be some jokes. That holds true, but the first season was also inspirational as it focused on “Teacher Gabe” trying to bring out the best in a class filled with kids who were being counted out. Most of the first 10 episodes focused around Gabe trying to be a great role model and teacher to his students at Woodrow Wilson High School, in which he happens to be alumni.

Season 1 concluded with a huge academic decathlon in which Gabe’s class faced off against his colleague Tony Ochoa’s (Jacob Vargas) “smart” class. However, Gabe’s class came out on top and taught the lesson that anything can be achieved with the right mindset and focus.

When exactly is Mr. Iglesias Season 2 available to stream?

Despite its comical nature, the series is filled with powerful lessons about not giving up, going after your dreams, etc. The sitcom was renewed for Season 2 last August and will contain 12 episodes. Luckily, we are not too far away from the premiere date as the new season will release around the same time as the first one did last year, Wednesday, June 17!

Mr. Iglesias was created by writer/producer Kevin Hench and both Hench and Iglesias serve as executive producers of the show. Not many details have been released about the storyline of Season 2.

According to Deadline, however, a few plot points that will be a central focus is the potential love connection between students Marisol Fuentes (Cree Cicchino) and Mikey Gutierrez (Fabrizio Guido) and even Mr. Iglesias himself possibly getting a love interest.
