The next series might seem like it’s for kids but make no mistake, Harley Quinn is firmly in the adult realm. While there are multiple reasons to watch this series, it’s a great one for fans of the Birds of Prey film.

Harley Quinn follows Harley after she finally breaks up with Joker and decides to do things on her own. She is, of course, joined by Poison Ivy and eventually, makes her own crew of villains along with trying to show she’s not just “The Joker’s girlfriend.”

The series does a great job of delving deeper into her character, her twisted relationship with the Joker and basically, how Harley becoming a stronger person/villain. The show’s also funny and raunchy which makes for a nice change of pace.

The casting is pretty solid with Kaley Cuoco voicing Harley with Lake Bell as Poison Ivy and many more stars including Jason Alexander, Alan Tudyk and Ron Funches. Currently, Season 2 of Harley Quinn is airing on DC Universe but you still have time to get caught on Season 1 and finish Season 2 before the next season airs.

This show was a huge surprise for fans and might end up being one of DC’s crown jewels. Even if you didn’t like Birds of Prey, Harley Quinn should still be atop your list of summer binges for 2020.
