When can fans expect A Discovery of Witches Season 2 to premiere?
Fans have been eagerly waiting for news on Season 2 of the supernatural drama A Discovery of Witches, but there has been no confirmed premiere date as of yet. Now Teresa Palmer has taken to Instagram to provide a much appreciated update.
When we left our favorite witch-vampire duo of Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont they were attempting to time walk and we were left with a crazy cliffhanger. So of course fans are dying to know when we’ll be able to rejoin the world of A Discovery of Witches and find out what happens next for Matthew and Diana.

In the past few months we’ve gotten a first look at Season 2 and plenty of new casting notices but when we will actually get to see it on our screens remains a mystery. Thankfully it may not be too much longer before we get to witness Matthew and Diana’s adventures in Elizabethan London.
Teresa Palmer provides an update on the expected Season 2 premiere date
The show is expected to air this year at some point on Sky in the UK, but there has been no indication of a date beyond that. It seems even the cast don’t know the official premiere date for Season 2, but Teresa Palmer replied to a fan on the adorable post below she had this to say:
"okay.. I keep getting asked this so I’m going to tell you what I know since you’ve all been SO patient. The last I have heard it’s being released in Nov/Dec no specific date but DEFFO this year. About to start ADR on it and cannot wait to see the new season in its entirety. From what I’ve seen of ADOW2 so far its what everyone loved about season 1 but even more epic. The story, character development, writing and production level is elevated in every sense, I feel as though it’ll really connect with the fans, so I’m dying for it to come out!! Thanks for asking and I really appreciate your patience and enthusiasm. 💜💜"
We may still not have an exact date, but at least now we know the premiere date is narrowed down to November or December of 2020. It’s interesting to note that they’re about to start ADR (Automated Dialog Replacement) and Teresa Palmer’s excitement and praise for Season 2 makes it sound like it will be worth the wait!
Unfortunately the November or December 2020 date likely only applies to the show airing in the UK and it may be another several months before viewers in the U.S. and around the world get a chance to see Season 2. In the meantime you can binge the first season on Sundance Now or you can purchase it from Amazon or Google.
