ABC fall 2020 schedule: Station 19 moves back to the fall lineup for Season 4

Station 19 Season 4 is heading to ABC in fall 2020

ABC has shared its fall 2020 plans. Like CBS and NBC, the network is opting to run a relatively normal fall, remaining optimistic that the shows can return to filming like normal. There’s also some exciting news for Station 19 fans.

Season 4 will premiere as part of the ABC fall 2020 schedule according to Deadline. Yes, that means it’s moving back to the fall, after heading to the midseason for the 2019-2020 season.

It’s also keeping the 8 p.m. timeslot that it’s held since the midseason point, keeping Grey’s Anatomy in the middle slot of the TGIT lineup. The timing makes sense for a few reasons, mostly being the crossovers.

The show made use of crossing over with Grey’s Anatomy far more throughout the previous season. While it wasn’t a favorite way of dealing with storylines for everyone, it did allow for more fleshed out storylines for some of the events that happened. Those the firefighters saved in Station 19 could see the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial in the second hour instead of just wondering if they would make it through their injuries alive.

It’s not clear when exactly Station 19 Season 4 will premiere. Filming hasn’t started back yet, but restrictions are starting to be lifted, so we could see things return to some normalcy in July and August.

What to expect during Station 19 Season 4

Right now, we don’t know what’s to come in the fourth season. The third season left with Andy learning that her mother is still alive. Everything she was once told was a lie, and now she has to figure out the truth without her dad by her side anymore.

Meanwhile, Maya had slept with Jack and forced Carina out of her life. All of this was in response to her mom saying that her father is an abusive man. Maya couldn’t accept that, possibly because she fears that she is following in his footsteps and it means she’s abusive too.

However, the very end of the finale saw Maya apologize to Carina and want her back. Does this mean Maya can be on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance? Will Carina remain by her side? More importantly, can Carina please have a better storyline?

We’ll have to see how it all continues in Season 4.
