In this latest look at what to expect when the series returns to Netflix, Lucifer appears to have come back to our world just in time to save the day—and get right back where he left off with Chloe. Deckerstar shippers look to be getting exactly what they desire…but then, the bomb drops.
Between the hot Deckerstar make-out session in a previous trailer and all the romantic goodies in the latest one, it really seemed like now might finally be the magical time for everyone’s favorite devil-detective pairing. But not so fast.
What happens when Chloe finds out about Lucifer? Can Deckerstar survive?
This is not the fallen angel you’re looking for, kids. As it turns out, the Devil has not left his kingdom. His twin brother, Michael, has just come to steal his Earthly life—including his one true love—from him.
It’s like something straight out of Deckerstar fanfiction and one of the juiciest tropes possible for the couple’s story. Now, whether Lucifer or Michael is the evil twin in this scenario is anyone’s guess.
You know that old saying about “a woman scorned?” Well, we’re dying to know what form that takes on if (let’s be real, more like when) Chloe finds out that she’s been locking lips with the wrong angel. And while we’re at it, will that be what brings the real Lucifer back to play her valiant savior?
Moreover, will Chloe even trust him if he does come back to set the record straight? From the looks of it, Lucifer Season 5 is just going to be more miscommunication and angst for Deckerstar; and if it’s handled as well as every other moment for the ‘ship has been all along, it’s going to be devilish fun to watch it all play out.
What do you think? Will Deckerstar have their time in Lucifer Season 5? Or will it just be more pain and suffering?
Lucifer Season 5A is out on Netflix on Aug. 21, 2020.
