Apparently Disney displayed Wolverine’s butt in X-Men: Days of Future Past

If you’ve taken a coursey glance at Disney Plus’s catalog, you’d know that it does a ton of things to keep as many fans as happy as possible. Apparently, in a bold move, the film giant decided to drop X-Men: Days of Future Past on its service.

That may not sound too surprising, Disney owns Marvel and it often capitalizes on that. Many of Marvel’s properties draw in a crowd of older and newer generations. Some come from the comic book era, curious how their favorite heroes translate into a movie form. Others grew up watching Marvel or fantasizing about being a hero.

Needless to say, Disney does its best to keep its edgier content out of reach of children, which is commendable. But, it seems they proceeded to drop X-Men: Days of Future Past to its platform without any type of censoring.

What exactly does that mean?

Well, per Variety, apparently it includes Wolverine’s bare buttocks. Hugh Jackman, who plays the role of the clawed hero also says the F-word. This release of an uncensored version is weird, considering Disney released an edited version of Splash that censored Daryl Hannah’s rump. The streamer also did away with the F-word in the recently added Hamilton.

This is a proud moment for Hugh Jackman, though. He took it as an accomplishment, posting how Days of Future Past is the first move to release completely uncensored.

I sincerely hope there’s more to come of this. I know this was probably a half-joke from Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds, but I know plenty of people—myself included—would probably love to see the film without any sort of censorship.

We can all know, however, the one movie that will never see the uncensored treatment is The Rescuers. We all know why.
