Netflix teen romance film The Kissing Booth 2 is now available to watch

The Kissing Booth was a highly popular teen romance film that released on Netflix in May 2018. It centered around a teen named Elle Evans (Joey King) who gets into a romance with Noah (Jacob Elordi), the brother of her close friend Lee (Joel Courtney), after they share a kiss at a kissing booth set up by Lee and Elle. Noah and Elle’s romance is kept private as she and Lee created a pact for them to not date the family members of the other.

The film was based on a novel called The Kissing Booth, which was published in 2012 and written by 25-year-old Beth Reekles. This sequel is also based on a novel by Reekles, called The Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance.

The film was not received well at all by critics, but it was popular among viewers, which likely spurred the sequel. Now, two years later, that sequel is finally available on Netflix. The same characters will return, including Elle, Noah, and Lee. In addition, Molly Ringwald will return in her role as Mrs. Flynn, the mother of Noah and Lee.

The second film is expected to be filled with much more action and drama

This sequel is a continuation of the first film. It will focus around Elle heading into her senior year of high school with Lee while Noah is off to college at Harvard, AKA the other side of the country. The new school year will bring challenges such as schoolwork, college prep, dealing with a long-distance romance, and even a potential new love interest for Elle in the hunky Marco (Taylor Perez)! It will also bring another round of the famous kissing booth where romances have started. Buckle up for an action-packed ride through Elle’s senior year!
