Knights of the Old Republic is one of the most beloved Star Wars products ever made, so it makes sense to give fans a long-awaited follow-up or movie. However, should it really be done under the current regime?
It’s no secret that Disney is milking Star Wars for all its worth. Ever since they bought Lucasfilm in 2012, they’ve been churning out countless bits of merchandise for the rabid fans, including but not limited to movies, TV shows, video games, books, clothes, toys, and even lollipops.

In all fairness, Star Wars was no stranger to extra content before. In fact, some of the most acclaimed stories in this sci-fi fantasy franchise were told through various TV, book, and game products. Disney was not blind to this.
Whether it be for profit or genuine creative inspiration, those in the current Star Wars regime have brought several old properties and concepts into the new generation.
These have ranged from successful moves like Star Wars Rebels introducing Grand Admiral Thrawn to utter missteps like EA’s revival of the Star Wars: Battlefront games.
