Season 3 of Bob’s Burgers is full of good episodes but which one is remembered most?

With Seasons 1 and 2 of Bob’s Burgers out of the way, it’s time to move to Season 3. Of all the seasons, this is one fans tend to enjoy most. There is a multitude of reasons why Season 3 of Bob’s Burgers is remembered so fondly. The main reason is that it’s the first “true” season of the series. It was the first season in which we got a full-episode order with 23 episodes after two short seasons back-to-back.

Additionally, Season 3 gave us our first taste of holiday episodes, something Bob’s Burgers has now become notorious for. Along with the holiday episodes, the show also focused a lot on parodying other TV shows and movies. Last but certainly not least, the show had some of its best and most memorable guest stars in Season 3. Overall, Season 3 is an absolute delight and still reminds one of the most beloved seasons of Bob’s Burgers.

Rather than looking at the most underrated episode from each season, I’m going to focus on which episode is the most memorable. Whether it be because of a milestone, a special guest-star, or some awesome character development, it’s all about which episode people still talk about today. With all the details about Season 3 out of the way, let’s talk memorable episodes.

Season 3 has three honorable mentions that are still noteworthy today.

Trying to only decide on three memorable episodes from Season 3 was tough. There are so many episodes and almost all of them are great. However, these three episodes are memorable for multiple reasons. Kicking things off is “Ear-sy Rider.” This was the premiere of Season 3 and what a way to start. The episode follows Louise who after having her ears stolen by a high school bully, Logan exacts her revenge on him. This was our first taste of how obsessed Louise can get and the lengths she’s willing to go for revenge.

Overall, “Ear-sy Rider” remains one of the best Louise episodes to date. It was a great look at Louise’s character and an excellent start to Season 3. While it might not be as memorable as other Louise episodes in future seasons, the episode still holds up today. The episode is equal parts funny and dark which Bob’s Burgers has somehow managed to nail perfectly.

The second honorable mention goes to “Topsy.” This is once again another Louise-centered episode but it involves the entire Belcher family. After finding out her science teacher Mr. Dinkler is obsessed with Thomas Edison, Louise agrees to recreate his famous “Topsy” experiment to embarrass him. Louise ropes Gene and Tina into it while Bob and Linda create projects of their own.

“Topsy” is probably most memorable due to the song, “Electic Love.” It’s a duet between Topsy the elephant and Thomas Edison. Either way, the episode is another great character moment for Louise and ultimately humbles her. It’s also pretty funny to see how competitive Bob and Linda get over their own projects.

The last honorable mention is “An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal.” No Season 3 list would be complete without a holiday episode. Serving as the show’s first Thanksgiving episode, it follows the Belcher family posing as the Fischoeder family including Bob as a chef in exchange for Mr. Fischoeder getting the girl and giving them free rent.

Things are fine until Bob gets drunk on absinthe and sees Fischoeder try to kiss Linda. To put it nicely, all hell breaks loose and it’s a memorable Thanksgiving for everyone.

Obviously, this episode is memorable since it’s the show’s first Thanksgiving episode. It also features a great homage to My Neighbor Totoro and the show’s first Thanksgiving song. It proves just how chaotic the holidays can be but still proves how much the Belchers love each other. Even years later, it still remains one of the most memorable Thanksgiving the series has ever produced.

And the most memorable episode from Season 3 of Bob’s Burgers is…

The most memorable Season 3 episode has to be “O.T.: The Outside Toilet.” This episode is focused on Gene who discovers a talking toilet in the woods and befriends it. Things go awry when Gene starts getting hunted down by Max Flush and must enlist the help of his family and friends to save the toilet. While the premise might sound wacky, the episode delivers tenfold.

Of all the episodes of Season 3, “O.T.: The Outside Toilet” is the most memorable for a handful of reasons. First, it’s easily one of the best Gene episodes still to this day. Second, the toilet is voiced by Jon Hamm. Third, the episode is a completely off-the-wall parody of E.T. Last but not least, the episode is just tons of fun and gives Gene his time to shine.

While “O.T.: The Outside Toilet” might not be a favorite episode, there’s no doubt of its impact even now. Personally, I still think Season 3 of Bob’s Burgers is one of the best so far. Even with seven seasons later, it still holds up. Plus Season 3 is a great starting point if you’re new to Bob’s Burgers and didn’t care much for the previous two seasons.
