9 new TV shows on broadcast we’re looking forward to in 2020-2021
8. Debris
Next up is one for NBC, which is looking at doing a sci-fi series again. Sci-fi and fantasy dramas haven’t worked well on the big networks recently, although NBC has had more luck with Manifest than other networks have. This means Debris has a bit more of a chance.
The series follows two agents who come from two different continents. You know there is going to be a culture clash thrown in here, but they need to work together when they’re given the task of investigating the wreckage of a crash. This isn’t just any crash, but an alien spacecraft. And to top things off, the crash has had mysterious effects on the people around them.
There isn’t much about Debris just yet. It’s just an intriguing series.
7. Law & Order: Organized Crime
We’ve asked for years, and now we have it. Christopher Meloni is back as Elliot Stabler in the Law & Order: SVU spin-off, Law & Order: Organized Crime. We’ll get to find out what happened to Elliot all those days ago when he just up and left.
It sounds like there were initial plans to start the story with the last episodes of Law & Order: SVU, but the coronavirus pandemic stopped the filming from happening. So, we’ll just need to pick up with the show with Stabler returning after a devastating personal loss. Things have changed considerably since he last battled organized crime. How hard will it be to fit back in?
Law & Order: Organized Crime is set to be part of the fall 2020 schedule on NBC, although filming hasn’t started back up yet.
