Lucifer Season 5A is the most highly anticipated new show on Netflix in August 2020

Can you believe it’s almost August? We’re just days away from that big drop to kick off the month and then we have plenty of Netflix Originals to look forward to. Including, Lucifer Season 5A.

Lucifer Season 5A is certainly the most popular release coming this month. We’ll get the first eight episodes of the season, showing us just how Tom Ellis’s Lucifer is back on Earth. However, if you watched the trailer, you’ll know the huge spoiler. It’s not Lucifer but his…we’ll leave you to find out if you want to watch the trailer or to remain surprised if you’ve been avoiding as many spoilers as possible.

When it comes to Netflix movies, Work It is the one to look out for this month. It’s a little like Step Up and Bring It On, in the sense that it’s an underdog looking to wow at state championships. In this case, it’s a dance team that isn’t known for achieving much, but a clumsy student wants to prove the team’s worth in an effort to get into her late father’s alma mater.

And then there’s the release of a new Super Monsters special. Any parent like me knows that the kids are going to be glued in front of the screen for this. Hey, Super Monsters isn’t the worst kids’ program out there. While entertaining, it teaches some excellent lessons and in some creative ways.

For Heath Ledger fans out there, A Knight’s Tale is one of the first drops of the month. Later in the month, all two seasons of Cobrai Kai are joining the Karate Kid movies ready for the third season to eventually drop.
