5 hopes we have for the fifth and final season of Money Heist.

It has been announced that the upcoming fifth season of Money Heist on Netflix will sadly be the final one. We have followed the Professor and his gang through all their dangerous heists for the past four seasons but soon the time will come to say goodbye.

Caution: There are spoilers from Money Heist Season 4 in case you haven’t caught up yet.

When we last left the Money Heist gang, they had suffered a major loss with the death of Nairobi. Nairobi isn’t the first character the show has killed. In fact, it seems to delight in killing off characters, but it certainly hit the hardest. Raquel has joined the gang inside the Bank of Spain and the Professor is up against the ropes to find a way to get his people out alive.

So with the final season coming up, there is a lot still to do. With the gang in a very precarious position and the Professor’s identity at risk, the final season is sure to be pretty explosive.

5 things we want to see in Money Heist Season 5

1. Everyone to get out alive

Now I realize this isn’t a very likely outcome. Especially given the penchant this show has for killing off our favorite characters. But I honestly think any more deaths would just break my heart completely, so I’m hoping all of the original members of the gang get out alive.

2. A happy reunion for the couples

Currently, Sergio and Raquel are physically separated, Rio and Tokyo are broken up and emotionally scarred, and Denver and Monica have hit a rough patch now that Monica is viewing Denver’s violent side in a different light.

With one season to go, I think they could all use some happiness, so it would be great if the couples could just come to a happy reunion. And whatever they do, please do not put Rio and Stockholm together because this show does not need a drawn-out love triangle/square in its final season.

3. Alicia Sierra to join the team

The last season left off with inspector Alicia Sierra figuring out the Professor’s true identity and sneaking up on him. That obviously puts the Professor in a very bad position, and the best way out of it would be if Alicia Sierra was convinced to join the team. After all, it’s not like she was treated with much respect by the police and they just tossed her out and threw her under the bus.

It might be a little repetitive considering the former inspector Raquel Murillo also joined the team. But hey, if it worked once why not try it again?

4. A sendoff for the departed characters

We have lost quite a few characters over the last four seasons, including Nairobi, Berlin, and Moscow to name a few. It would be nice to have more flashbacks of them so we can see them one final time and give them a good sendoff.

We’ve been given visions of them that almost look sort of ethereal like they’re in the afterlife so catching up with them in the afterlife might be kind of fun. Yes, they’re robbers, but I can’t help rooting for them and I know I’m not alone in that!

5. The deaths of Arturo Roman, Palermo, and Gandia

Throughout Money Heist no characters have caused as much damage as Arturo Roman, Palermo, and Gandia. Arturo Roman has constantly been a thorn in the side of the gang and now has seemingly assaulted another hostage.

Palermo betrayed the gang because his pride was hurt and it’s thanks to him that Gandia was able to escape and torture Tokyo and eventually execute Nairobi. Nothing would be more satisfying than watching them all pay for what they’ve done. Nairobi deserves justice.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Money Heist has added two new cast members and is set to begin production this coming Monday. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we’re able to watch season five and see how it all unfolds.
