Upright
We’re turning to a streaming service for this one, but not one of the main platforms. It’s all about Sundance Now. Upright stars Tim Minchin as Lucky Flynn, the family outcast. When he learns his mother is dying, he drives to the other side of Australia to see her with just an upright piano.
Along the way, he meets Meg, a runaway teenager. The two head out on the road trip, fighting their own demons, learning more about life, and forging an unlikely friendship.
The first two episodes are available this week. After that, the episodes are released on a weekly basis. It’s a beautiful series to check out.
Upright is on Sundance Now on Thursday.
