Fellow Texans residing in Dallas love that The Umbrella Academy season 2 story takes place in Dallas, TX. Most of us even felt the place looked familiar before being told the location. But Hollywood is very tricky. How much, if any, of the season actually filmed there?

According to the Dallas Observer, audiences have been duped again! Needless to say, the production crew did an amazing job at capturing the look and feel of Dallas, TX. Still, it’s a bummer authentic shots with the cast weren’t filmed.

At least it doesn’t take away from the story! If you haven’t watched The Umbrella Academy season 2 on Netflix, do so now! So where was the season filmed?

Where was The Umbrella Academy season 2 filmed?

The entire season 2 of The Umbrella Academy was filmed in Canada, specifically in the town of Hamilton. However, Heavy shares that some shots were filmed in Dallas, TX. Unfortunately, these shots are only exterior, such as some of the Dealey Plaza.

Simply put, filming in Canada is more affordable and convenient. One show that does show Dallas more love is Queen of the South, which mainly films in Dallas. The pilot episode for The Gifted was also filmed in Dallas, as well as Hulu’s 11.22.63, and some scenes from the film LBJ. 

The Umbrella Academy season 2 is now streaming on Netflix and is rumored to already be renewed for season 3. Stay tuned!
