Supernatural: Padalecki and Ackles spotted in Vancouver as filming starts soon

The Winchesters have made it to Vancouver to start Supernatural filming

Supernatural should have been done by now. The longtime fantasy series should have wrapped up a few months ago and fans would have spent their summer remembering 15 years of the Winchesters’ adventures.

But it’s not yet done and there is still a half of a season left because of the shutdowns due the coronavirus global pandemic. In a bit of good news, filming for Supernatural will commence very soon.

In fact, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have been spotted in Vancouver, where the filming takes place. Pictures were posted on a local Vancouver resident’s Instagram showing the actors together. They still have their hiatus beards and long hair going on. You know their fresh faces are coming soon. Social distancing and all masked up too.

Supernatural filming begins this month

With seven episodes left leading to the culmination of the final showdown with God, this is good news for fans. While there are some bittersweet feelings that come with the end of the show, it’s positive to know that we do have an end in sight.

Supernatural Season 15, Part 2 is scheduled to return this fall though an exact date hasn’t been given yet as it depends when they can get the final episodes wrapped. Supernatural actually needed to finish filming just two of the remaining seven episodes.

According to the production list on the Director’s Guild of Canada’s website, Supernatural will film from Aug. 18 to Sept. 11. That just a little over three weeks to conclude what has become many fans’ favorite TV show.

It could reason that Padalecki and Ackles are already in Vancouver to give time to quarantine to ensure the cast and crew will be safe to finish filming since it doesn’t seem to start for another two weeks. That is part of Canada’s law for anyone coming into the country.

Either way, this really is the beginning of the end.
